Collection concerns Terrell Croft Drinkwater's career as an airline executive. The bulk of the collection documents Drinkwater's presidency of Western Airlines from 1946 to 1970, but there is a small amount of material concerning his service with Continental and American Airlines as well. Collection consists of correspondence files, subject files (which contain correspondence, clippings, legal documents, minutes, and printed materials), legal files, and publicity files (which contain clippings and printed materials). Clippings, photographs, scrapbooks, and speeches are found in this collection as well.

Terrell Croft Drinkwater was an airline executive. Born in Denver, Colorado in 1908, Drinkwater earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Colorado. From 1932 to 1942, he practiced aeronautical law in Denver, Colorado. Drinkwater was named a vice president of Continental Airlines in 1942, then became a vice president of American Airlines in 1944.
