Radices ex ms. germanico, [circa 1650].

Manuscript, on paper, in a highly abbreviated German cursive hand, containing medical, chemical and botanical formulas and their uses. Topics include the virtues of various types of bezoar stones; plant specimens from India, Indonesia, and the eastern Mediterranean; and herbal cures, including wolfsbane for scorpion bites. Two pages of notes in a different hand at the end of the volume contain information on the treatment of dropsy.
