Recipe book, 1804-1838.

Manuscript recipe book in several hands, containing culinary, medical and household receipes. Contents include recipes for wines, beers, juices and other drinks, such as "Coffee after the French Manner;" jellies, preserves, gravies and sauces; cakes and puddings; and breads and rolls. Medical remedies include several for coughs and whooping cough; salves; and "peristaltic persuaders." Several recipes are sourced to Sir Watkin Wynn and "Dr. Kitchener." Volume also contains several pages of accounts relating to the parish of Sprowston in Norfolk, 1812-1814.
