Manuscript on paper, in a single hand, of a philosophical treatise on the question of human happiness. Horace is frequently cited, in original verse translation. Prefaced by a dedication to "Henry Montague Knight Lord Barron of Kymoulton, vycount Mandevill, Lord High Threasoner of England, and one of his Majesties most honorable privy councell" in which he mentions his own "iniurious imprysonment." The manuscript also includes prefatory verses from "The Author to the Reader."
