Junius Flagg Brown, prominent social and clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, was born in Denver, Colorado, on August 3, 1902. After graduating from Yale University in 1925, he studied at the University of Berlin, where he was strongly influenced by the Gestalt school of thought. On his return to the United States, he earned a Ph.D. from Yale University in psychology.
