Informes de la mission de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, [before 1764?].

Report by Carlos Neumajer on conditions at the Misíon Nuestra Señora del Pilar, Baja California. Founded by the Marqués Joseph de la Puentes, its first missionary was Jaime Bravo. As the baptismal records have been lost, Neumajer cannot give the exact number of baptisms performed, but estimates that several hundred Indians of all ages have been baptized. He describes the area as sterile and arid, but notes that there are seven rancherías located near the mission: Los Callehues, Los Huchityes, Los Coros, Atipes, Cantiles, Pecunaes, and Catautes. The mission continues its efforts to convert Indians.
