Cane [realia]. 1921

Wooden cane is a straight stick with a metal ferrule. A metal plate near the handle is engraved: "Warren G. Harding March 17, 1921." An attached card reads: "St. Patrick's Day Greetings." On the reverse is: "March 17, 1921. This stick was cut off the black thorn bush on the estate of the late John Twohy in Corbea, County Clare, Ireland, whose grandson, James M. McGrath is a native of Ohio. Mr. McGrath and his sister Mrs. McQuigg sends these greetings to our beloved President Warren G. Harding."
