The Carol Larson collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Larson and Daardi Sizemore in 2002. Larson served in the Air Force form 1979-1981 but did not serve during war time. She talks about her basic training experience and life on the Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska.

At Harris Neck, Georgia, in the remote northern reaches of McIntosh County, the United States government, in the fall of 1942, confiscated the lands along the South Newport and Barbour Island Rivers. Paved runways were constructed for aircraft, and Harris Neck became an air reconnaissance base for the United States Army Air Force during World War II.
