Papers, 1911-1985

The Edna Twamley Papers consists of correspondence, newspaper and magazine clippings, material from the dedication of Twamley Hall and a notice of probate for her will. All of the correspondence is from Edna Twamley; one letter was written to Mabel French in 1912. The remaining letters were written to Mabel's daughter, Mary Margaret, and her husband, Richard Frank. The newspaper and magazine clippings are taken from various sources, including the Grand Forks Herald and The University of North Dakota Alumni Review. Programs for the dedication of Twamley Hall and the carillon are included, as is a partial transcript of the speech she delivered for the occasion. Finally, material gathered by Mary Margaret Frank for the purposes of a 1985 article for Plainswoman magazine are included. This folder consists of correspondence from one of Edna Twamley's friend in New York, as well as a rough draft and the final version of the article.
