MUSC Faculty Minutes 1865-1982

The MUSC Faculty Minutes, 1865-1982 consists of 18 volumes of minutes, 1865-1982, (1901 to 1912 and 1957-1961 missing). The volumes, which consist of handwritten originals, and typescript copies for selected year, document the meetings of the faculty of the Medical College (later University) of South Carolina. The minutes include agendas, discussions about the expansion of MUSC and the possibility of new building spaces, lists of candidates for graduation from the medical, pharmacy, and nursing schools, lists of students who were not eligible to graduate, lists of faculty present at the meetings, memorial resolutions of deceased faculty, discussions about the faculty senate, the payment of bills, donations to the university by businesses or individuals, faculty benefits, financial reports, and the change of enrollment requirements in the school of medicine and pharmacy.
