Keith Sebelius Papers, 1969 - 1980.

The collection consists of Sebelius' papers from when he was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. The majority of the collection includes general and legislation-related correspondence, arranged alphabetically by topic within each year. Also in the collection are press releases; "Farm Reports" and other newsletters; bill files, including copies of legislative bills and related information; studies, reports, and other reference material; audio-visual materials; and other such records and record types. Records specifically related to the Postal Service for the years 1970-1977 are organized separately.

Keith George Sebelius was born in 1916 in Almena and grew up in Norton, Norton County, Kansas. He served in both World War II and the Korean War and was active in the American Legion. During the 1950s Sebelius served on the local city council and as mayor, becoming active in the Republican Party; he also served two terms in the Kansas Senate. Fuller was born in Mass. on Aug. 13, 1787. He moved to N.Y. (State) where he served as a member of the N.Y. Assembly and Senate. In 1837 he moved to Adrian (Mich.), where he served as a Representative from Lenawee County and Speaker of the House, 1841. Fuller also served as Assist. Postmaster under Pres. Harrison.
