Eight carbon copy typescripts of essays, six of which appeared in Vanity Fair and in Huxley's collection of essays "Music at Night" (1931), with pencil note by previous owner, Crosby Gaige, at top of first page of three essays indicating date of essay's appearance in "Music at Night" or Vanity Fair. "The Future of the Past" has appeared in a version similar to this typescript in Vanity Fair, in 1927, and ca. 3/4 of it appears in "Music at Night," varying greatly from the typescript text.
