Richard Harding Davis letterbook, [ca. 1893-1905].

Album with letters by Richard Harding Davis laid in, including 28 letters, 1 autograph, and 1 page of a manuscript by him, as well as 1 print of a photograph of him. All are contained in a brown morocco album lettered in gilt, "Richard Harding Davis, manuscripts and a collection of letters." Most of the letters concern publishing or social matters. Correspondents include John Russell Davidson (the recipient of about half of the letters), Mr. Harper, J.D. Marshall, H.B. McDowell, Mr. Knopf, and F. Hopkinson Smith. Several of the letters are written on Harper & Brothers stationery.
