A description of Monticello in the form of a letter from an unidentified visitor as printed in the Virginia Advocate, 1830 May 28 (Vol. 3, no. 3). The unknown visitor briefly describes the view from the mountaintop and the neglected state of the interior and closes with a comment that the Virginians in Washington are all Jackson men.
