The collection contains manuscripts of lectures Writers I have known, 1944, My first book in English, 1944, How a novelist begins, n.d., Where do novels come from? n.d., and On keeping a diary, 1944. There is also an essay On Paris, 1943, prepared for an exhibition sponsored by the Coordinating Council of French Relief Societies, and America at war speaking, 1943, a radio broadcast. Two printed articles complete the collection: Passy, 1943, and Translation and the 'Fields of Scripture', 1941-42.
