World War II propaganda collection [manuscript], 1941-1946.

The collection contains posters, pamphlets, booklets, magazines, cutouts and miscellany collected by Cowan while associated with the Overseas Branch of the Office of War Information. There is Allied propaganda material in Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, and Spanish. Among the items are an "Atrocities Booklet"; proofs of text and illustrations for Das Dritte Reich, 1945; issues of "America" in Russian, "La Marcha Hacia La Libertad," "Il Mondo Liberno," "Victory" "Geillustreerd Nieuws," and "Communique Graphique" and Italian calendar, 1944.
