Papers of the Tennis family [manuscript], 1915-1936 (bulk 1918-1919).

The collection contains World War I letters of W. J. Tennis to his family describing life at Base Hospital #41 and sightseeing in Paris. World War I letters of Roy L. Scriven to the Tennis family are concerned with financial support of his children after he received a notice of the death of his wife while he was stationed in France. In addition there are graduation programs, 1916-1922, from various Virginia schools, and certificates and dance cards, 1915-1936, from the College of William and Mary.
