Thomas Jefferson letters to Peter Minor and Nicholas H. Lewis [manuscript], 1816 August 25 and 1819 June 3.

In an 1816 letter to Minor with enclosed statement, Jefferson requests a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Rivanna Company to discuss the effects of the company's canal locks on the water flow to Jefferson's grain mill. In a letter, 1819 June 3, to Nicholas H. Lewis, secretary of the Rivanna Company, Jefferson notifies Lewis that depositions will be taken in Jefferson's suit against the company.
