Letters of Prosper Montgomery Wetmore [manuscript], 1845-1862.

In a letter, 1845 July 7, New York, to J.L. Edwards, Washington, Wetmore replies to letters from Edwards re Navy Pension Agency business, explains that he paid John Garrick's pension and closed his account at the New York agency, and promises to check on other pensions. In another letter, 1862 September 24, New York, to Edwin Denison Morgan, New York, Wetmore commends Lieutenant Downing for recruiting a company for the Harris Cavalry and requests help for Downey to keep his commission.
