Samuel Stewart Ellsworth letters, 1846.

Two handwritten manuscript letters. The first letter was written to Mrs. Hathaway on Feb. 22, 1846 when Ellsworth was in the House of Representatives. The second letter was written to Hon. Cave Johnson on Dec. 17, 1846, also when Ellsworth was in the House of Representatives.
