The George Teeple Eggleston papers include correspondence, clippings, and notes relating to the America First movement, as well as Charles Lindbergh's role in the movement. Editions of Scribner's Commentator, Reader's Digest, and Life magazine are also present, all of which Eggleston helped edit. The collection also contains many of his books, as well as reviews, clippings, and correspondence from fans and publishers. Some personal files are also present.

George Teeple Eggleston was born in Oakland, California in 1906. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1929. In the late 1930s, until the bombing of Pearl Harbor, he was very active in the America First movement with Charles Lindbergh.
