General description of the collection: The Gurkha Soldier is a typed report on the history, tribes and customs of Gurkha soldiers. There are nine classes of Gurkhas with various clans in each class. Different classes have different customs, such as what they eat, what they wear, what the women wear, and marriage alliances. An overview of the recruiting process is another chapter and communications in Nepal, with a list of post exchanges and proper directions for addressing letters and postage fees.
