Arms of Lincolnshire gentry (p. 1-24); pedigrees of Dymock, Lovell, and Taylboys (p. 25-32); arms of ancient nobility (p. 33-76). Each section in a different hand. Last section has many corrections, with note on p. 46 that these are by Mr. Willoughby Godfrey, "who by his reading finds ... the falsity of some of these passages."

On inheriting his father's estate at Middle Hill in Worcestershire, Phillipps embarked on a career of collecting manuscripts and books. His collection of manuscripts eventually numbered over 60,000 items.
