Desmond Heeley is a renowned set and costume designer. He began his career in 1948 as an apprentice at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. He has designed sets and costumes for plays, ballets, and operas in Europe, Australia, the United States and Canada.
