Oversize files contain 19 items, which includes plans for the parliament hill complex, master plan, development site plans, mayor's office, five year (1976-81) development programme: preliminary design water distribution system and storm drainage system, etc. File 1 contains descriptions of Dodoma project: typewritten proposals, 1966-1968, 1974; project descriptions of Dar es Salaam master plan, 1965-1968; building guidelines, zoning and development regulations, newspaper clipping from 'The Nation' (Nairobi), July 30, 1976; brochure from "Landscape Architecture" Magazine, July 1977, ASLA 1977 Awards issue with the Dodoma project as an entry; loose leaf papers include drawings of complex designs, water body treatment, housing units, storm retention lake, model photos, master plans, 2 col. fold-out map/drawings, 1 large b&w "National Capital Structure" drawing pasted to cardboard. File 2 contains photographs: 7 b&w contact sheets of ground level street and building scenes, and 4 aerial b&w photos. File 3 contains 5 envelopes containing 40 col. and 11 b&w photos, primarily views of the land and location, the model, and a presentation. Includes sepia, trace, blue line, and mylar drawings, presentation drawings, and project description files of detailed design and architecture for the new capital city, housing and shopping (Kikuyu Model Community Commercial Centre), Parliament Hill Complex, and Mayor's Office, Civic Square. Drawings include development plan, sketches, elevations and floor plans.
