The collection consists of research material and reports, newspaper articles and clippings, photographs, correspondence, farm broadcasting and farm television information, history of agriculture, speeches and papers, meeting minutes, milk production and information; material related to log houses, octagonal buildings, silos, Huron County Pioneer Museum; Ontario Agricultural Museum buildings, barns, landscaping. Oversize files contain blueprints and plans of various buildings of the Ontario Agricultural Museum; larger photographs of log cutting, threshing, and cow milking demonstrations, Macdonald Manufacturing Co. steam engine, Bucyrus bulldozer, and other machinery displays; Century Soap Co. poster.

Orson Squire Fowler, phrenologist, was born in Cohocton, New York, on October 11, 1809, and died in Connecticut on August 18, 1887. In October 1838, he issued in Philadelphia the first number of the AMERICAN PHENOLOGICAL JOURNAL. Among his many volumes on phrenology and kindred subjects are MEMORY AND INTELLECTUAL IMPROVEMENT (1841), PHYSIOLOGY, ANIMAL AND MENTAL (1842), and MATRIMONY, OR PHRENOLOGY APPLIED TO THE SELECTION OF COMPANIONS (1842).
