The Finnish Workers' Society "Kehitys" of Cloquet, Minn., was founded in 1903 as the "Edistys (Progress)" Workers Association. In 1906 it joined the Socialist Party and the Finnish Federation of the Socialist Party (United States). It also changed its name to "Kehitysseura (Educational Society).
