Tracy, probably Henry Wells Tracy (1807-1886), Pennsylvania state representative and later U.S. Congressman, describing a visit to President Abraham Lincoln that was unsuccessful for patronage; Letter of December 6, 1862 to Ulysses Mercur (1818-1887), Pennsylvania lawyer, judge (successor to Wilmot), and later U.S. Congressman, discussing business concerns and waiting for military movements by armies in the eastern theater during the Civil War.
