The collection contains production material for fourteen titles published between 1970 and 1980. Production materials include corrected holographs, corrected typescripts including photocopy and/or carbon typescripts, front matter, corrected galley, page and jacket proofs, photocopied page proofs, notes, research material including clippings and pamphlets, and photocopies of illustrations. The collection also contains reviews for some of F. N. Monjo's books and correspondence, mostly between F. N. Monjo and his editors and publishers.

F. N. (Ferdinand Nicolas) Monjo was born August 28, 1924 in Stamford, Connecticut. He graduated from Columbia University in 1946 and worked as an editor and later assistant director and vice president and editorial director in Books for Boys and Girls at several major publishing companies. In 1968 he published his first book for children, Indian Summer, the story of a frontier woman's struggle to save her family.
