A recipient of the National Medal of Science, and numerous awards for his research on human memory, Dr. Eric Kandel is the founding Director of the Center for Neurobiology and Behavior at Columbia University where he also teaches. His lecture will focus on human memory, where it comes from, and how it works. His lecture is the fourth in the series "Science in a Changing World: Key Issues for the 21st Century" to commemorate the opening of the College's new Science Center.
