Letter to William Hayes Ward with notice by him, 1885 August 15.

Cleveland discusses her wilingness to have him publish the accompanying AMS with her attached alteration; and notes that the current volume of her essays is being published at this time due to "urgent advice" from her friends not to attract attention. She mentions her pride at being noticed by Ward and her hope to submit other articles after she leaves the White House. With the letter is a manuscript by Ward discussing the publication of her poems in the "New York Independent" together with a correction of the manuscript by Cleveland.
