Box office receipts recorded as manuscript entries written on printed forms bound into volumes. Data recorded in some volumes, but not all, can include: date, title of production, number of tickets and dollar value sold per type of seat, gross sales for day, weather, special discounts, names of lead cast members, and miscellaneous notes about event. Most volumes also include pasted-in playbills, broadsides, clippings, programs, and notations on verso of front cover listing gross receipts for season. Includes the following theater managers: Henry C. Jarrett; Junius Brutus Booth, Jr., L. R. Shewell, Eugene Tompkins, and others.
