Oral history interview : John T. Malarkey, Reed College, class of 1952 / interviewed by Scott Benowitz, 1996, on September 25, 2003.

Discussion of Malarkey's two years at Reed College, 1948-1950, and his transfer to Oregon State University. The interview covered his family (parents and sister are all Reed alumni) and childhood, his entry into Reed, Lloyd Reynolds, card games on campus, Stanley Moore and the MacCarthy Velde hearings, dropping out of Reed, the city of Portland, Oregon towns, and his time at Portland State. He majored in mechanical engineering, spent time in the U.S. Army, and became an engineer with Hyster Company living in the United States and then in England, where he retired.
