Photographs [graphic], 1949-1952

This collection contains a photograph of photographer Norris J. Starkey with his camera and twelve photographs taken by him. There is also a postcard that was made using a composite of two Starkey photographs of the Horizon Room, which is attached to that establishment's drink menu. Finally, there is the black spiral photo album in which the photographs arrived to the Indiana Historical Society. The photographs have been removed from the album for preservation reasons, but are listed in the "Series Contents" section below in the order in which they were placed in the album. The photograph of Starkey had been inserted in the album "loose." Subjects of Starkeys photographs are commercial in nature and include the interior of the Horizon Room restaurant and bar, Jetmatic window blinds cleaner, folding room dividers, musicians, Trans World Airlines, and the Tee Pee restaurant.
