The majority of the Fred Astaire Collection mostly contains sheet music from his films, but one can also find programs and advertisements from his pre-film dance performances, magazines and magazine covers from dance and fan magazines, clippings, and 3 LP record collections of his music. This collection is highly illustrated with photographs of Fred with his numerous costars and dance partners throughout his long career.

Fred Astaire (b. Frederick Austerlitz May 10, 1899, Omaha, NE–d. June 22, 1987, Los Angeles, CA) was an American dancer, singer, actor, choreographer and television presenter. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential dancers in the history of film and television musicals.
