Typescript copy of an essay, 1916, written by Emma Forbes Cary, daughter of Thomas Graves and Mary Perkins Cary, entitled, "Memories: Old Temple Place." The essay pertains to her childhood on Temple Place in Boston, Mass., and includes detailed descriptions of her grandfather Thomas Handasyd Perkins' house, which was next door to her own and holidays celebrated there; and time spent with neighborhood children of the Gardner, Cabot, Cushing, and Savage families, among others.
