Papers of the German born soprano famous for her interpretations of Fidelio, Der Rosenkavalier, and German lieder. The collection includes extensive correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, artwork, scrapbooks, scores, and many of her sound recordings. The collection includes correspondence with Frances Holden, Richard Strauss, Bruno Walter, Arturo Toscanini, and related to the founding of the Music Academy of the West.
