Giving the verses for "Scotish Ballad -- Tune, the Lothian Lassie." Giving the verses for "Fragment. Tune, The Caledonian Hunt's delight," and mentioning his difficulties in writing additional stanzas to the "damned peculiarity of the rhythm of this air." Giving a draft of verses for "Song -- Tune, This is no my ain house." Complaining of a toothache and enclosing (not present) a business letter for Thomson to forward.
