Music industry executive Jim Foglesong recalls highlights from his years at Columbia and Epic. Discussion includes his work at Columbia as a musical assistant; his transfer to Epic Records; becoming a full-time producer; artists he produced, including Roy Hamilton; experiences as a producer; the role of disc jockeys and independent distributors in record popularity; working with Bobby Vinton; coming to Nashville; his experiences producing records from Broadway shows; meeting Irving Berlin; working with Robert Goulet; and working on a series of show albums for the Columbia Record Club.
