Travel Diaries, 1808, 1817, 1819, 1825, and undated, kept by Mary Murray of New York City during her summer trips taken in the company of her family to Connecticut and various locations in New York State, including: Niagara Falls, Saratoga Springs, Ballston, Rockaway, Flushing, etc. Diary entries describe travel conditions, accomodations, travel by stage and canal, socializing with fellow travelers, incidents and experiences, gossip among the vacationers, Miss Murray's observations and sentiments regarding the people and places encountered, etc.
