Frances B. Cheatham collection, 1901-1928.

Frances Cheatham's three commonplace books, primarily of original poetry, and a birthday book (1901-1928). Most of the poems deal with Native American or religious themes and include a small number of postcards, photos, clippings, Christmas cards, and an exhibit program, some of which are loose. In "The Dickens Birthday Book", she lists the birthdays of acquaintances and even a few famous persons for each day of the year; this volume has daily quotes from Dickens' works and six color plates illustrating scenes from them.
