Complaints to establish title following the 1906 earthquake, 1906-1926 (bulk 1906-1908).

Consists of printed forms, filled-in with typescript and manuscript information, to establish title to properties under chapter 59 of the laws of 1906, because, "on the 18th day of April, 1906, the greater part of the public records in the office of the County Recorder of the City and County of San Francisco ... were destroyed by fire." The complaints record existing property owners as plaintiffs vs. all persons claiming any interest or lien upon real property as described. Attached descriptions of parcels include location and extent, how and when acquired, and include signed affadavits of the plaintiffs, with the signature and seal of the court commissioner.
