Quinby, 13 Dec. 1863, regarding her husband's request for a lock of Grant's hair, to be sold at a bazaar for the benefit of disabled soldiers and their families; and Covington, Ky., to J.S. Buell, 10 Jan. 1866, concerning Grant family history. Also, a note written by Gen. Grant, unable to speak, during a visit by Dr. Andrews, 19 June 1885, giving the advice "Sleep under a blanket every night."
