A certificate of completion issued to Clampitt for completing the Counterinsurgency Orientation Course for Phung Hoang (Phoenix) Advisors at Vung Tau, Vietnam. Clampitt, a Cross Plaines, Wis. native, served in the Army spanning the Cold, Korean, and Vietnam Wars. He served in Vietnam as an advisor to Vietnamese troops and later flew on observation missions.

Clampitt (1928- ) served in the 88th Division with the Army of Occupation in Italy, Company K, 34th of the 24th Infantry Division during the Korean War and as an advisor in Vietnam with 52 ARVN Ranger Battalion and S2 for the Phoenix Committee.
