Correspondence, 1926-1943, of Edward Dickinson Tayloe (1880-1956) concerning race horses, and a scrapbook, 1907-1950, containing articles and photographs about race horses, and about "Belair," Prince George's County [now Bowie], Md., "Mount Airy," Richmond County, Va., and the "Octagon House," Washington, D.C. Miscellaneous materials include the diploma, 1849 July 20, of Edward Thornton Tayloe (1829-1881) from Princeton University as a bachelor of arts, and membership certificate, 1849 July 20, of the Cliosophical Society of Princeton University. Also, include a letter, 1859 December 7, of Benjamin Ogle Tayloe with Edward E. Jones concerning the pedigree of the horse "Ogle's Oscar," and diplomas from Harvard University granted to Benjamin Ogle Tayloe, as a bachelor of arts, 1815 August 30, and as a master of arts, 1820 August 30.
