Papers of Alfred J. Swan collected by his student John Davison, 1894-1955.

The collection consists primarily of manuscripts of Swan's music, some of which is unpublished, and sheet music. The collection also contains concert programs; newsclippings and articles; music catalogues and circulars; materials pertaining to a Swann exhibit at Haverford College and to the 1990 Swan Centennial Concert; and miscellaneous items concerning Swan from the library of his student John Davison including his catalogue of Swan's music. In addition the collection contains music by other composers including Yury Arbatsky, Antony Bassoline, Truman Bullard, Lawrance Collingwood, Jerome D. Goodman, Paul Ladmirault, W. Muir, Bernhard Rouënstrunck, Peter Schickele, and D.I. Swann. The collection also contains two articles about his former student Schickele (P.D.Q. Bach).
