George Sidney Hellman (1878-1958) was an author, editor, and art, book, and manuscript dealer and collector of New York City. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Columbia University in 1899 and 1900 and maintained a close connection with that institution. With fellow student William Aspenwall Bradley he founded and edited the literary magazine, East & West, 1900-1901, and remained a prolific freelance writer and editor for most of his life.
