Ira Iscoe papers, 1966-1984.

Audio and video tapes of speeches, interviews, seminars and case studies relating to the field of psychology comprise the bulk of the Iscoe papers. A small portion of the papers focus on research conducted on Charles Whitman, the Governor's Committee and the University of Texas Sutherland Committee recommendations. Also included are newspaper clippings and files detailing the investigation of the Charles Whitman shootings.

Ira Iscoe was born in New York City on February 1, 1921. He received his BA at Sir George Williams College, and his MA and Ph. D. from the University of California at Los Angeles. Iscoe joined the University of Texas psychology faculty in 1951, and was instrumental in developing Clinical Training Psychology Program.
