Ted Nagata was born in California, but was relocated to the Topaz internment camp with his family in the 1940s. He received a B.A. and M.F.A. from the University of Utah and founded Ted Nagata Graphic Design, Inc. He has designed logos and posters for the University of Utah, Salt Lake County, Utah Transit Authority, and several Utah ski resorts.
