Consist chiefly of letters addressed to his family in Saratoga Springs, New York, in regards to his experiences of military life during the second World War. These letters reveal that he was stationed at various domestic post from September 1942 through December 1943 that specialized in intelligence operations and applied tactics. In January 1944, he was dispatched to England were he writes about his observation of life in that country during the war as well as his own experiences. In July 1944, he was dispatched to France, where he continues to comment the people and circumstances he witnessed along with the routine activities of life in officers quarters. Other papers include telegrams, invoices (receipts), newspaper clippings, and photographs.
